Dr. Kim Littlefield

Education and Continuing Education
I attended Baylor University for my undergraduate studies. Afterwards, I graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and received my Orthodontic Certificate from St. Louis University. I have practiced orthodontics in the Metro East for the past 30 plus years. As a part of my continuing education, I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the St. Clair District Dental Society as well as the American Association of Orthodontists and Midwest Society of Orthodontists. I also enjoy the continuing education that lnvisalign® has to offer.
In the Practice
The best part of my job is the fun and excitement that our patients bring into the office. Our patients bring exuberance and joy which is spread throughout the office and allows the staff and I to have fun and it puts a smile on our faces. After 30 plus years of practicing orthodontics, I still love coming to work each and every day!
In every orthodontic treatment, I attempt to maintain broad, full smiles and attractive profiles for my patients. Many borderline extraction cases at Littlefield-Ganim Orthodontics are treated with expansion therapy rather than having permanent teeth extracted. The results obtained from these treatments are very stable and show improved esthetics.
I make every attempt to minimize the length of time a patient is in treatment. In some cases, this means doing two phases of orthodontic treatment. In every case. the patient is considered first. At Littlefield-Ganim Orthodontics, we want our patients to look forward to their appointments, and to have fun while they are here.
Family and Community
I was born and raised in the Belleville area and graduated from Belleville West High School. I love serving the people of my hometown. My wife, Cindy, and I have three children named Amanda (married to Mark), Emily (married to Drew), and Andy, and three granddaughters, Jenna, Mia, and Blaire. My leisure time is spent with my church, family, friends, or on the golf course. I am very active in the community and participate in several charitable and local organizations. I contribute to school auctions, donating orthodontic cases to help fund these schools programs, and have done this throughout my orthodontic career. I have also traveled to Paraguay many times with our church missions to promote dental care to the rural areas.

Education and Continuing Education
I attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate studies. Upon graduation, I went to the University of Louisville for dental school. Then, I attended St. Louis University where I received my Masters of Science in Orthodontics.
For continuing education, I am the President Elect of the St. Clair Dental Society. I am also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Midwest Society of Orthodontics, the Illinois State Dental Society, and a St. Louis area young dental society. I have been to numerous lnvisalign courses as well as Roncone Orthodontic courses with focuses on treatment at an early age and temporomandibular joint disorders. I am also an adjunct professor at the Saint Louis University orthodontic program. I am truly honored and humbled to be a faculty member there. Being able to see patients with the residents and teach them how to properly diagnose and create a treatment plan is a passion of mine and I hope to continue to share my knowledge throughout my career.
In the Practice
Being an orthodontist is truly the best job in the world! I have wanted to be an orthodontist since the seventh grade and it is amazing to live in my childhood dream every day! I started at Littlefield-Ganim Orthodontics in January of 2018 and the staff and patients are so wonderful! I strive to make every patient's experience unlike any other with a doctor. I am always honest and do what is best for the patient, but most importantly make orthodontics as fun as possible! At every appointment, we are trying to create better smiles!
Family and Community
I was born and raised in Belleville and graduated from Belleville East High School. I am lucky to be able to return to my hometown and serve the great people of the community. I recently married my wife, Mara, in September of 2018. My time away from the office is spent with our dog, Weller, or out on the golf course.

Kimberly
Treatment Coordinator/Patient Accounts Coordinator
On your first visit to Littlefield-Ganim Orthodontics. you will have the pleasure of spending quality one-on-one time with Kimberly. Her passion is working with patients and families during consultations to introduce them to our practice and orthodontic treatment. She has advanced training to assist the doctor during any procedure necessary to achieve your beautiful smile.
Kimberly has been a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and CPR certified and participates in continuing education to ensure your current treatment plan has the most advanced processes and procedures for a lifelong smile.
She prides herself, and succeeds, in making the patients feel at home while they are in the chair. For example, she will make sure to sing (in great pitch) “Happy Birthday" to each patient on his or her special day and also to make the experience personal by learning about the patient’s favorite sports teams while they are in the office ("Go Cards and Go UNC"). Kimberly is a mover and a shaker and considers herself to be the “mom" of the team.

“I love seeing patients get their braces off and see the beautiful smile that we have achieved together over the course of their treatment. It is hard to see patients go after we have completed the course of their treatment because I love the relationships so much."
