Orthodontic Treatments
Phase 1
At Littlefield-Ganim Orthodontics, some of our most important work is during early childhood. Even though kids still have many of their primary teeth left, this could be a vital time for orthodontics. We focus on arch development at this age, so we can provide the patient with the best foundation for growth. Making sure the arches are of adequate shape can help prevent elongated treatment in the future, when braces are necessary. While brackets and wires are needed at times during this age, we only recommend this treatment when it is absolutely necessary.
Phase 2
Phase 2 treatment is the bread and butter of orthodontics, using brackets and wires. The materials we use at Littlefield-Ganim Orthodontics are of the latest technology to make it more efficient for both the doctor and the patient.
Metal Brackets
Even though this is the most common type of bracket we use, it is not the traditional bracket used by most practices. We use a bracket with a special metal clip, to allow our treatment to be more efficient and require less visits to our office. |
Ceramic Brackets
Aesthetics will not be compromised at our office! The same great features of metal brackets can also be found on our ceramic brackets. It is the best of both worlds! |
Invisalign® Clear Aligners
The ultimate aesthetic option, clear aligners are becoming a very popular treatment option. Though not available for all types of cases, the clear aligners are a system of customized, clear, removable trays that allows the patient to achieve beautiful results without brackets or wires. |
TMD
Dr. Ganim has had specialized training in Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (known as TMD). This is not your average splint or night guard therapy, but a more focused approach on facial musculature, one of the leading causes for TMD symptoms and frequent headaches. Our specialized therapy treats jaw discomfort, headaches. and neck aches. In this therapy, we use a series of therapeutic materials to relax the muscles that are giving patients extreme discomfort. Talk to one of the many patients we have treated for TMD therapy and they will tell you how they wish they did it sooner!
